Programs for American universities
Academic assistance

Since 1985 Italiaidea has offered courses of Italian language and culture accredited by American universities and colleges.

University Courses

American UniversitiesCourses can be designed according to the needs, to the objectives and to the specific requirements of each individual institute; alternatively, students can take part in our intensive GI group courses. At the end of the course all students receive a final grade (in letters) and the transcript equivalent to the relevant credits according to the grading system of the university they are attending.

Italiaidea designs and organizes on request:

  • Italian course semesters (60-180 hours)
  • Short to medium length intensive courses (15-60 hours)
  • Full immersion weekends (either in Rome or in other locations)
  • Orientation course about Rome and Italy
  • Extra-curricular activities (cooking lessons, wine tasting, evenings at the opera, at the theatre or at the cinema, guided tours in various areas of the city, visits to the University of Rome and meetings with Italian university students, conferences on subject matters on request)
