Our history and our clients

Italiaidea opened its doors in Rome in 1984 with just three teachers. Today we are a school with more than 20 people and teach around 1,500 students every year from all over the world.

school's historyThroughout its history Italiaidea has constantly worked to ensure the highest quality of service. In 1985 we began to teach and organize courses of Italian study for the Rhode Island School of Design (R.I.S.D.). In 1986 we were asked to begin work with Cornell University; in 1995 British Airways. Since then our list of clients has grown to include institutions such as Dartmouth College, the Embassies of the United States, France, Spain, Germany and Israel, and religious institutions such as North American College.

In 2003 we expanded and moved to our current location just two minutes away from Piazza di Spagna at Via dei Due Macelli, 47. Here we received official recognition from the Ministry of Italian Instruction (Ministero dell’istruzione italiano) as an official language and cultural center.

Finally, on April 2014 we moved our main school to Corso Vittorio Emanuele II 184, in a wonderful ancient palace behinf Piazza della Cancelleria, just a minute from Campo dei Fiori and Piazza Navona.
